When you heave a sigh, or your eyes water up, it can be the result of some emotional turmoil. This would happen to me before I knew about Scientology, where I often felt unable to cope and was easily overwhelmed by not all that much to be honest! Since studying the writings of L. Ron Hubbard, these sensations still happen, but usually when I feel I have come to an understanding of fundamental truths in life. When you study his works, you are not learning new things you are understanding the basics of life. These are things I feel now we have always known, but somehow just unlearned! And the physical reactions from my body such as: sighs of relief or tears of joy, are confirmations that tell me: yes, this is real to me! Scientology is never preaching hellfire and damnation. It is never telling me what to think, be or do!.....Its me telling me...yes of course! How simple-how didnt I see this? Why did nobody else realize this? Its about having the strength to confront, by stepping back and looking at the confusion and being able to pick out the simplicity of it all. The road up through this mess isnt easy, I find. It took the sheer brilliance of L. Ron Hubbard most of his lifetime to even find a technique to allow everyone to be able to do it, a fact that continually leaves me in total awe.
Scientology is incredibly exciting and challenging, and isnt this what lifes all about? Taking the doctors prescription of pills and anti-depressants doesnt sound very glamorous and is probably not that effective. But deciding to take responsibility for yourself is - Ive found - a great adventure. Taking responsibility for me, you, the rest of mankind and the universe is something I havent quite been able to get my head round just at present. I have to say I have met many Scientologists who are devoting all their energies to exactly this, and would like to take this public opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me in Scientology, and also the people I have yet to meet who I know are changing and succeeding in making life better for all of us!
